About Me
My name is Carolyn Hutchins. I was born in
Central Florida where I still live with my husband. I currently work as a receptionist at Gatorland, a local theme park in south Orlando. I was also a photographer there, taking pictures of guests during and after shows, and during the many animal encounters the park provides throughout the day. It has (and still does) provided for some very interesting photo ops over the years.
About two years ago,
I decided I was at a point in my life where I needed to get into photography for myself. So in October of 2008 I was on my way, having found a good deal on a great camera. In January of 2009 I started my website (which I am very proud of). Six months later I was accepted as a member at Gallery One Artists, a non-profit & co-op art gallery in downtown Kissimmee. I soon found out that it happens to be the largest art gallery in Osceola County. Most recently I began serving on the Design Committee for Kissimmee Main Street.
Photography
has always been a passion of mine, and I have been blessed with a strong support group, made up of family, friends, and a very understanding husband. I try to incorporate photography with my other interests, such as the great outdoors. Thus, you will see quite a bit of nature and landscapes in my photos. I love to take photos that make people think.
I have learned quite a bit in these last two years, and have created new goals for myself as a person and as an artist. In the future I hope to do more with Kissimmee and the surrounding art community, and hope to continue taking pictures for a long time to come.
______
Carolyn has been actively involved in a wide range of digital photo activities at Gatorland for over ten years. We have asked her to photograph everything from alligators to Christmas cards to construction activities because we can count on her to get the job done right the first time –
